| This versatile
‘tumbler mixer’ operates on ‘diffusive mixing’
principle, distributing particles over a freshly developed surface
continually. The carefully chosen cone angles in addition to diffusive
mixing, achieve rapid mixing in a very short time by inter mixing
large group of particles’. The constant rolling motion imparted
to the particles, ensures a minimum of ‘twice blending’
for every rotation of the ‘double conical shell’.
The unique design of the double conical shell with an increase ration of the ‘cylindrical diameter’ to the ‘conical height’ increases the blending efficiency without resorting to ‘internal baffles’. This design increases the blender volume, lowers the material charge level to a point below the mid center, resulting in superior blending efficiency. The double conical vessel is constructed out of AISI 304 quality stainless steel with all internal surfaces well ground and polished smooth, for through blending, easy cleaning and fast product changeover. A quick opening butterfly valve enables convenient product discharge. A manual tilting arrangement is provided for bringing the cone to discharge position. The double conical shell on self-aligning ball bearing is mounted on rigid structural supports and revolves between 15 and 24 RPM.
