powder & mass mixer is a ‘shear-bar paddle mixer’
suitable for mixing high viscosity pastes and wet mass or dough. The semi – cylindrical ‘U’ shaped trough mounted on trunions at both ends is tiltable for discharge and is of fully welded construction. The close-fitting rotor has inclined flat oar shaped paddles integrally cast on a horizontal hollow shaft. The paddles cut through the dough at different levels and also at inclination of the paddles results in thorough homogeneous mixing of the dough. The end blades are shaped to move the material towards the center of the trough. The uniformly staggered blade design adopted, results in better mixing and lower power consumption. The hollow rotor is key fitted to a central spice shaft mounted on antifriction bearings. Sealing is achieved with Teflon lantern rings and gland sealing arrangement. The welded trough construction and the unique method of shaft mounting adopted, eliminates cantilever load and consequently wear out of seals. This sealing system is good enough even for liquids. The unit is robustly constructed for years of trouble free service. The design of the machine is subject to change from time to time to keep pace with the state-of the art ensuring improvement in efficiency and elegance. |
