| PLOUGH SHARE MIXER,
consisting of a horizontal cylindrical shell with feeding and discharge
ports and also an inspection cum cleaning port with contoured flush
mounted closure on the front of the shell. The mixing elements –
plough shaped shovels – are arranged at specific intervals over
the horizontal shaft at specially selected speeds depending on the
product characteristics. The geometric
shape, speed of rotation, size and the number of shovels are designed
to produce the required three dimensional – axial and radial
movements. The specially shaped shovels and the precise clearances
maintained between the shovels and the shell are well designed and
executed, to project the material away from the shell walls and
keep them suspended throughout the free space of the shell.
The action of these shovels are very precise and
repeatedly bring the material directly in the path of the “choppers”
– i.e. the fiber opening blades mounted on the side walls
of the shell. This results in “Fiber separation”. The
mixing action actually pulls the fibers apart and keeps them suspended
in the air for the duration of the mixing cycle.
The thorough mechanical fluidization of the material,
which is essential for the process, is thus achieved by critical
design parameters and precise engineering execution
The design of the machine is subject to change
from time to time to keep pace with the state-of the art ensuring
improvement in efficiency and elegance. |
